Come and see what we are all about.

We've been bowling since 1952

Newtown St Boswells Bowling Club is in a village situated in the Scottish Borders beside the Eildon Hills just of the A68

The Bowling club is situated in the heart of the village next to the primary school and Newtown AFC's ground.  The club was established in 1952 and since then the club has grown from strength to strength.  The club has a good membership of mixed ages with the youngest being 5 years old and each season we work hard to increase our members by offering special memberships.  We also have a very good junior coaching programme which has grown in strength please go to the junior section on the page to read more on our juniors.
During the outdoor season the week consists of a busy structure with the Ladies, Gents and Seniors playing in their respective Border League games also on weekends we host Open Competitions as well as hosting visiting teams.  We are often approached by Bowls Scotaland and the Border League Association to host their competitions.
We also host community based events like quiz nights and Easter eggs hunts so that everyone can come along and enjoy our facilities not just the for bowlers.
The Club has some very good players within our ranks and the role of honours is as follows:
Gents Borders Division 2 Champions
Scottish Internationalist
Scottish Singles Champion
Borders Champion
Borders Pairs Champion
Champion of Champion
and British Isles Champion and one of our ladies who plays at the local indoor rink at Tweedbank will be playing at the British Isles Chamionships in March in Paisley for wining the Scottish Triples indoors.
I'm sure the future will produce many more. Champions!!
